THEME: Each piece must contain a found object or unconventional item

EXHIBIT FEE: $25 for up to 3 pieces

ART INTAKE: January 10 at the AQU Membership meeting; February 2, 10 am to 2 pm, at the gallery; or by special arrangement with the AQU Exhibit Chair

ART RETURN: March 1, 11 am to 5 pm, at the gallery; March 14 at the AQU Membership meeting; or by special arrangement with the AQU Exhibit Chair

EXHIBIT FORMS: A Coco Exhibit form, W-9 form, and waiver must be received by January 19. You may submit these three forms with your artwork at the January 10 Membership meeting or by email to aqumembers@gmail.com.​

Bees at Work

AQU artists may submit up to two pieces.

  • One main piece

  • One smaller piece. The format is a 6” x 6” textile panel. The subject can be the same insect as the main piece or a different insect altogether. The small panels will be hung together as a group collage. Entering a smaller piece is optional.

 

ARTWORK SIZE:   Open for main piece; 6” x 6” for smaller piece

 

ARTWORK TYPE:  Wall hanging, 3D, or suspended from the ceiling!

If your piece requires hanging from the ceiling, please let us know and tell us the approximate weight  by August 1, 2025.  Email your information to aqumembers@gmail.com.

 

Provide the following SEVEN pieces of information no later than October 1, 2025. Email your information to aqumembers@gmail.com.

1. Artist name

2. Artwork title

3. Insect name or the type of insect used as inspiration

4. Artwork dimensions

5. Artwork type—wall hanging, 3D, or ceiling (please note August 1 deadline above)

6. Photo of finished artwork or work in progress

7. Brief statement about artwork (up to 100 words)

 

Bring your piece(s) to the November 8, 2025, Membership Meeting for our AQU Reveal.

We’ll be viewing completed pieces as well as works-in-progress.

EXHIBIT FORMS: Online payment and an AQU Exhibit form must be received by July 28, 2026.

Small 3D works, accessories, and jewelry will be exhibited in a glass-enclosed display case. This exhibit will be coordinated with the library's grand reopening following renovations.
