JANUARY 13, 2024

A Curator Reveals All. Learn about art gallery hanging systems and how to prepare your fiber art for optimal display. Presented by internationally exhibited artist and AQU member Kevan Lunney.

 

FEBRUARY 10, 2024

Make-and-Take Beaded Sampler. Create a sampler of four easy beading stitches that you can import into your own design work. Supply list will be provided in advance. Presented by Connie Blachut (AQU).

Members Thrift Sale.

8:15 am: Table setup begins.

MAY 11, 2024

 Fiber Art Cards. Small “canvases” let us fiber artists experiment with motifs, color, and thread choice. Get inspired! Supply list: Three 4 1/2" x 6 1/2"pieces of contrasting fabric, scissors with a sharp tip (small is better), iron and wool ironing pad. Note: Two ironing stations will be set up for use by all, but we would welcome a few more. Presented by Faith Pfalz (AQU).

 

JULY 13, 2024

Quilling Hands-On. We’ll be rolling, shaping, and glueing narrow strips of paper to make quilled designs. Your first project: a delicate earring or a Christmas (in July!) ornament. Materials and supplies provided. Presented by Olyvia Eldridge (AQU).

 

SEPTEMBER 14, 2024

***UPDATED PROGRAM***  Foils and Angelina Fiber Collage. Learn how to inFUSE your fiber art with sparkle and delicate shimmering texture.  Presented by Lisa Gorski (AQU).

 

OCTOBER 12, 2024

***UPDATED PROGRAM*** Confetti Quilting. Learn how layering small bits of fabric can create an artful composition. Supply list: Fabric scraps in landscape colors: sky, trees, leaves, flowers (batiks and prints work well); 8 x 8” backing fabric; 8” x 8” batting; rotary cutter, cutting mat, and ruler; scissors; tweezers; long pins; baggies. Presented by Meriul Easton (AQU).

 

NOVEMBER 9, 2024

Fiber Art Mounting Process. Mount your fiber art on a canvas and add a frame. Voila! A professional finish that can boost sales. Presented by Pam Richardson (AQU).
