Candie counts on the creative ideas and collective know-how of our members and Committee chairs in so many areas: exhibits, publicity, education, retreat! Our members bring the talent, and Candie helps us stay on track. Candie also jumps in to assist with website updates and projects that involve editing.

Candie’s Story

I learned all forms of sewing and needlework in childhood. As an adult, I parlayed that knowledge into a career as an author and editor specializing in needlework, crafts, and home decor. Retirement allows me the luxury of creating at my leisure, and I typically have multiple works in the hopper. I also enjoy drawing, painting, and collage. My fiber art pieces tend to draw on traditional quilting patterns. The interplay of different fabrics placed side by side fascinates me.
