Candie Frankel, 1st Vice President

Candie’s primary role is finding and scheduling presenters to keep our meeting program topics varied and interesting. She is a 2023–2024 delegate to ACSWF and assists with our website and other AQU projects that involve editing.

 

Candie’s Story

I learned all forms of sewing and needlework in childhood. As an adult, I parlayed that knowledge into a career as an author and editor specializing in needlework, crafts, and home decor. Retirement allows me the luxury of creating at my leisure, and I typically have multiple works in the hopper. I also enjoy drawing, painting, and collage. My fiber art pieces tend to draw on traditional quilting patterns. The interplay of different fabrics placed side by side fascinates me.
