Discover how embroidery stitches can take on totally different looks, depending on the fibers and materials that are used. In this hands-on tutorial, you’ll be making a small dimensional sampler of basic embroidery stitches (kit will be provided).  Examine Marci’s embroidered pieces as well as books from her personal library.

Small “canvases” let us fiber artists experiment with motifs, color, and thread choice. Get inspired! Supply list: Three 4 1/2" x 6 1/2"pieces of contrasting fabric, scissors with a sharp tip (small is better), iron and wool ironing pad. Note: Two ironing stations will be set up for use by all, but we would welcome a few more.
